The Department of Health and Human Physiology offers an online B.S. degree in sport and recreation management. Concentration areas available for the online degree include business studies, coaching and sport instruction, entrepreneurship, and interscholastic athletic/activities administration.   • SRM:1060 Contemporary Issues in Sports, 3 s.h.
  • SRM:3157 Managerial Operations in Sport and Recreation, 3 s.h.
  • SRM:3175 Sales in Sport, 3 s.h.
  • SRM:3178 Communications and Public Relations in Sport, 3 s.h.

      Students must complete 30 total s.h. prior to taking the following foundation courses:

  • SRM:3151 Liability in Sport and Recreation, 3 s.h.
  • SRM:3152 Design and Management of Sport and Recreation Facilities, 3 s.h.
  • SRM:3153 Sport Business Practices, 3 s.h.
  • SRM:3158 Sport and Recreation Promotion, 3 s. h.
  • SRM:3172 Finance in Sport & Recreation, 3 s.h.

Field Experience – Complete 9 s.h. of Guided or Independent Experience

  • SRM:4196 Interscholastic Athletic Administration Field Experience 1-9 s.h.
  • SRM:4197 Sport and Recreation Field Experience 1-9 s.h.
  • SRM:4199 Independent Sport and Recreation Field Experience 1-9 s.h.

It is important to remember that semester hour credit is not automatically granted for experiential learning. You must register for SRM:4196 (Interscholastic Internship) or SRM:4199 (Independent Field Experience) and fulfill the requirements for the course and credits.
